Hunter S Thompson

Eccentric journo, and writer of 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', Hunter S. Thompson, had his ashes fired from a cannon atop a 153-foot tower of his own design. Red, white and blue fireworks were set off alongside the cannon when his remains were launched. The whole thing was funded by his close friend, Johnny Depp.
