Missy Elliot - Graves' disease

Missy Elliot went on the d-low and stepped out of the spotlight a few years back, to allegedly deal with her serious medical condition -- Graves' disease. The autoimmune condition affects the thyroid and can lead to insomnia, fatigue, goitre, eye problems and more. Apparently Missy's condition was so debilitating that she couldn't even write or drive a car.
